A Gaur is a type of wild cattle native to southeast Asia also found on Skull Island, suggesting it may been imported to the island some time in the last thousand years. The gaurs suprisingly survived well on the island despite predation. Their curving long horns and mass made them worthy adversaries for predatory species like Venatosaurus and their dark colouring helped them blend in their jungle sorroundings.
