Operation: GUARDIAN LANCE was a United Nations Space Command operation that took place on Jericho VII on July 12, 2540, five years after the Battle of Jericho VII. Not much is known about the operation other than the fact that the UNSC managed to recover several pieces of Covenant equipment—labelled 83.788-C and 77.312-C -- for technological study. Later, these specimens were put on display at the main atrium of Sword Base on Reach.
