Solar Wind Squadron was a B-wing starfighter unit that served with the New Republic Defense Fleet. They were part of the task force of reinforcements that had been sent to protect Adumar from an impending attack from the Imperial Remnant. During the Battle of Adumar that followed, the squadron was split into two - half of the starfighters were tasked with helping the combined New Republic and Adumari forces in dealing with the Imperial TIE Defenders, while the other half attacked the fleet's capital ships, the Star Destroyers Agonizer, Retaliator, and Master Stroke.
