DG-42L is the train-car mini-boss of Slash Beast's stage in Mega Man X4. Its main attack is to extend spikes to impale X or Zero. If X has the Ultimate Armor on, or at least the right Arm Part, he can easily make short work of this mini boss. Zero, however will have to get creative with it. He should go in and keep slashing until he destroys the spikes before they can spear him. Note that only the tips of the spikes seem to cause damage, not the shafts. Also, to destroy a spike permanently, you need to destroy the side of the train where the spikes emerge. The Frost Tower works best as it can destroy all the spikes and deal some great damage.
