Peter Martin (born 1934 in Accrington, Lancashire, England) played Len Reynolds in Emmerdale from 2001 until the character was killed off in the 35th anniversary episode in 2007. Before playing Len Reynolds, Peter appeared as Jolly Makepeace in 1981. Peter is also well-known for his 1980s TV adverts for Jewsons Hardware. He has also appeared in First of the Summer Wine, The Beiderbecke Tapes, The Royle Family, It Ain't Half Hot, Mum and Chucklevision and also the film Brassed Off.
