Enchœl was one of the Seventeen Towns of Phæþaan with complete control of the Sea of Seventeen Sackings, then known as the Wrist-Slit Sea. They are thought to be the ancient forefathers of the Cubenners. Enchœl is conjectured to mean "lion," as does "Corr," the ruling house of Cubenn Isle.
