Janguine was a language native to jungle-dwelling barbarians on the planet Janguine. The language fell into disuse approximately 275 years prior to the Battle of Yavin, when it was absorbed by the planet's Mooloolian mountain tribes. Upon first hearing the Yuuzhan Vong, the protocol droid C-3PO found it similar to the Janguine language, though he doubted that it was likely the Yuuzhan Vong invaders hailed from the planet. In the process of researching the origins of the Yuuzhan Vong, scholars from the Institute for Sentient Studies attempted to follow up on C-3PO's remarks, but found it to be a dead end.
