Lymph is the fluid that circulates through the lymphatic system. It is made up primarily of water that is found between the bodies tissues and is eventually emptied back into the bloodstream. It is similar to plasma, but also contains additional white blood cells. It can also contain bacteria, cancer cells that have mestastisized and fats from the digestive system. As such, it is milky white in appearance.
