The Bajoran Assembly was, in an alternate universe accessed by an interdimensional Androssi device, the governing body of Bajor's planetary government. In 2376, the Bajoran Assembly was prepared to sign a treaty with the Cardassian Union to formalize relations between the two governments. Religious Bajorans feared this development would lead to persecutions and genocide of the minority faithful, and the treaty was stopped when Jadzia Dax presented a newly-discovered Orb to the Assembly.
