Actress Kate Deakin has appeared on Coronation Street in two minor roles: in August 2001 as Connie Reeves, an inmate at Barnhurst Prison who bullied Hayley Cropper during her brief incarceration, before returning to the programme on the other side of the bars in March 2010 as an unnamed Prison Officer employed at Redford Prison where detainee Gail McIntyre was on remand. Her other credits include roles in The Parole Officer, The League of Gentlemen, Dalziel and Pascoe, Eleventh Hour, Doctors, The Royal Today and Grange Hill.
