Joe Anyinsah is a right-sided midfielder who can also play as a striker. He joined on 6 July 2011 after having been released by Charlton Athletic, becoming the twelfth player to sign during a squad overhaul in the summer of 2011 that saw fifteen new players join the club. In his two seasons with Bristol Rovers he played 62 League games, scoring eight times. These appearances were split evenly between his two campaigns in the north of Bristol, with 31 appearances and four goals in each season. He was released on expiry of his contract at the end of the 2012–13 season.
