A song no longer than 4:20, eighth in the Origin of Symmetry album, "Screenager" is about a teenager, essentially trapped in a screen. The teen's life has been consumed by a rich fantasy, and the teen no longer has her feet grounded in reality. "Hide from your family, they won't know you now ..." refers back to this. Her life is becoming more of a screen, and she hides there, essentially hiding from her family because they don't know who the real 'her' is, minus all the electronic devices.
