The Free City of Medwelenn is a city-state that lies on Fenn's Lagoon at the end of the Lyzard's Sea, and within Fenn's Valley. The city was created in order to attract trade into the Sefenlands. It is completely under Sefenlander control, and is lead by the House of Halfsmith from the archducal castle seat of Medweld Castle. It is home to many ethnic Irrinisians, which all became freedmen after the Lobott Coup. Above it all lies the extinct volcano Mount Medes, the peak of which is called the Haunted Summit. Upon it there is a statue of a green-eyed boy, who at night is said to transform into a tallman, destroying all it comes upon, save for children.
