Mannheim University was an institute of higher learning on the planet Manticore. The university had various schools, including a College of Economics. Mannheim was nicknamed "Socialist U" for its graduates' tendency toward ivory-tower intellectualism and supporting liberal views. Reginald Houseman was an alumnus of the university. (HH2) He became a guest lecturer there after the end of his political career. (Companion) As far as is known the institution had no relation to the university of the German city of Mannheim on Earth.
