Mudslugs are pack hunters by nature. The juvenile slugs are sent out by the mother to locate the prey above ground. Once the target is located, the juveniles burrow again, some following the prey unseen, some alerting the mother about the food. Because mudslugs can adhere to most surfaces, it is extremely difficult to avoid them. They even managed to attack W.I.T.C.H. in the air by using each others bodies to make a pillar. Lastly, the mother slug appears and devours the food before seeking another target. Caleb commented that he'd never seen a Mother fully out of the ground before. Mother Mudslugs are very resistant to fire as Tarnee shot are powerfull fireball at the mother and she knocked it away like a toothpick.
