Charles Kennedy was a professor and later a dean at Marshall College. In 1936, he wrote a professor evaluation for the spring archaeology course taught by Dr. Henry Jones, Jr., which Dr. Jones kept in his journal. His comments included noting Dr. Jones' popularity among students, especially female ones, but that his travel schedule often conflicted with his ability to teach and grade exams. Regarding Jones' research, he noted that the university had benefited from the public recognition brought by Jones' acquisitions, but also there was negative publicity as well.
