The Subjugation of the Rim was a campaign by the Dark Empire to conquer the Outer Rim Territories from the Alliance of Free Worlds in 252 ABY. The campaign was very successful. Due to the recent breakup of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate, much of the Triumvirate Military that did not defect to the Empire was disorganized and unprepared. The Imperial forces quickly overran the Rim. Though it ended that year, some planets held out for years afterward.
