Gavro first summoned him in Ancient China to attack some villagers when they threw (at Ursula's order) "everything but the kitchen sink!" to save Dr. Z (who was then disguised as Sanzo Hoshi). He fought against Spiny and nearly defeated him, but he was recalled by Gavro before he could finish him off. Later, Achelousaurus fought against Chomp in his Spectral Armor form. He nearly beat him with Attack Burst, but was knocked away by Chomp's tail when he charged him. Chomp then used Ultimate Thunder to defeat Achelousaurus, but unforunately Gavro reclaimed his card and escaped with him.
