Commander Shelley Leopold Laurence Scarlett, 5th Baron Abinger (1 April 1872 – 23 May 1917), was a British peer. Scarlett was the son of Lieutenant-Colonel Leopold James Yorke Campbell Scarlett, and a great-grandson of the 1st Baron Abinger. He succeeded his second cousin in 1903, and was a Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He served in World War I from 1915-1916 in the Bedfordshire Regiment[citation needed]. He was serving at the Admiralty at the time of his death.
