They are a quick and deadly species, with four sharp, tentacle-like limbs. They are capable of injecting their victims with a poison that melts them, reducing them to a goo-like substance. Shrill also appear to be bioluminescent, giving off a variety of bright, beautiful colors. The center of a Shrill's body strangely resembles a gyro, with the creature's brain presumably at its center.
