Crinktail was a female stoat, the mate of Flinky. She and Flinky seemed to actually be fond of each other, which is rare for vermin. Her tail was bent into a Z-shape, which gave her her name. She was the best cook in Burrad's band. She and Flinky were sent to find recruits for Badredd's feeble attempt to take Redwall Abbey, but they both were taken captive by Raga Bol. She later escaped from Redwall Abbey with the rest of the group with Flinky as the new leader of the gang.
