Hyrd was a Losson Sage and Tribal Magician who could read weather patterns and predict a mighty sea-storms that were about to take place.He was the Lossoth Chieftain, who was given the ring of Barahir as a token of Arvedui's appreciation and payment for the Lossoth's help. Hyrd had warned the noble king of an impending storm brewing but Arvedui did not heed Hyrd's words and thus perished on a ship that was sent by Cirdan the Shipwright.
