In the TMNT Adventures comic books,, the turtles, Splinter and April go to Hawai'i in the story "The Last Sea-Serpent". In the episode Invasion of the Punk Frogs of the 1987 TMNT cartoon, the parents of the boy appearing in Florida say they chose between Hawai'i and Florida as holiday destination.
