Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is allegedly an ultra orthodox, conservative, Hindu fundamentalist political party in India. (According to Wikipedia the Bharatiya Janata Party is Center right rather than ultra orthodox, see Bharatiya Janata Party. The party was formed in 1980. Some of its goal are to ban slaughter of cows (not to be confused with animal rights) and construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. BJP says that Ram Janmabhoomi is the birthplace of Rama. But Rama is a mythological king and never existed on the Earth.
