American composer Harry Bulow received his music degrees from San Diego State University and UCLA. He wrote this fanfare in 2004 - 2005 and dedicated it to the men and women of the US armed forces serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. It begins as a single voice and leads to many voices, representing the nature of the call to freedom and democracy. --James Huff 09:04, 18 November 2007 (UTC) (from the program notes of The Claremont Winds, submitted with permission)
