Father Peter Gomez was a priest who counseled patients at the Hospital of Pennsylvania in 2005, including the elderly Sonny Carroll. The terminally ill Sonny, before making a last confession asked to speak to the police about a boxing match he'd refereed in 1976 in which boxer Jerry Stone was killed.
