An economic and military union of several countries in in southern and eastern Africa and the island of Madagascar. Its capital is Nairobi. In terms of overall power the South African Union is one of the weaker members of the Earth Alliance, possibly the weakest. However it still distinguishes itself from other Earth nations by being one of the few power blocs to possess and control a mass driver, specifically the Habilis mass driver at the Victoria Base located on the shores of Lake Victoria. During the Second EA-PLANT War, not much is known about the South African Union's activities.
