Umbara was a shadowy planet within the reaches of the Ghost Nebula, home to the Umbarans, a race of pale near-Humans. Senator Mee Deechi represented the planet in the Senate until his death, which caused the planet to leave the Republic and join the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Shortly after, Republic forces launched a planetary invasion to claim the planet. The Umbaran language was spoken by the natives of the planet.
