Yakovlev was a guard in Crematoria Slam Facility. He had Hell Hound releasing duty with Ivanov during the feeding. When the firefight between Alexander Toombs and the guards broke out he attacked Toombs with the Ulaks, but was quickly knocked down by him. Yakovlev dropped the Ulaks in the firefight, since Riddick managed to get the Ulaks before going to the surface run. Yakovlev reached the hangar and died in the firefight between the guards and the Necromongers.
