The August 11, 1984 issue of the newspaper featured ads placed by sellers named Robert, John and Robin, who were selling a DeLorean DMC-12, a non-working pinball machine and a Ferrari 308 GTS respectively. Another seller advertising in the classifieds on August 11 was Professor B.O. Beanes, who was having an estate sale and was selling a large collection of vintage books.
