Weinstein was a 23rd century Human male. By the late 2270s, he was serving in Starfleet as a medical doctor aboard the USS Enterprise. Weinstein accompanied Commander Spock, Commander Montgomery Scott, and a security team consisting of Sergeant Jerry Workman, Bobbi Wagner and Sergio Mendoza on a landing party to Abigail, one of the three moons of the planet Cathy in the Novak system.
