"Escape from Mos Shuuta" was one of two roleplaying adventures that were released as part of the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire: Beginner Game starter kit published by Fantasy Flight Games on December 14, 2012. It introduced four characters, 41-VEX, Lowhhrick, Oskara, and Pash. The Beginner Game also included instructions for the download of two character folios whose stories converged just prior to the events of "Escape from Mos Shuuta," and appeared in the following adventure, "The Long Arm of the Hutt," with Mathus and Sasha joining the cast of the other four included in the first adventure.
