Shez is a character in the Book of Mormon's Book of Ether. He succeeded his wicked father, Heth, to the throne of the Jaredites. Shez, however, ruled in righteousness. His son Shez, however, sought to destroy him. He failed in doing so, because he was murdered by a robber after his riches. This left Shez to reign the remainder of his days in peace, until he gave his kingdom to his son Riplakish.[1] He is noted in the genealogy of Ether listed in the first chapter of the Book of Ether, as being the father of Riplakish and the son of Heth.[2]
