Cold Moon over Blackwater was a book described by Geordi La Forge as "gothic fiction". One of the characters in the book was called Maura. Aquiel Uhnari had read the book as of 2369, but La Forge hadn't. She named her dog Maura after the character. (TNG: "Aquiel" )
