After the Romulans join the Federation Alliance, Dominion advances are mostly held off, causing a stalemate for much of the year. However, in late 2375, the Breen ally themselves with the Dominion and begin taking on much of responsibilities previously held by the Cardassians, causing the war to heat up once again. Breen forces later attack Earth in the Raid on San Francisco. Although most of the warships are destroyed before reaching their target, San Francisco suffers severe damage. The daring act is a major blow to Federation and Alliance morale. The damage will be repaired by the spring of 2376.
