Borenu is a governorate of the Jakania. It is the farthest west governorate of Jakania and holds a majority of the Turjak people. The Governorate is an important cultural site to the Turjak people are retains a powerful base of Turjak politics which can been seen in their politics. The Governorate is estimated to be around 153,600 km² with a population of around 19,948,830. It is governed by a governor who is elected by during Governorate elections, currently the governor is Hameed Isma'il Katırcı, an ethnic Turjak who is a member of the Turjak Democratic Rally, a regional party taht is affiliated with the Republic Party of Jakania.
