The Alderaan Memorial was a structure on Coruscant designed to preserve the memory of the planet Alderaan, which had been destroyed by the Galactic Empire shortly before the Battle of Yavin. Its archives notably contained a collection of artifacts pertaining to Queen Breha Organa, which included a message her husband Bail Organa wrote to her to announce the death of Senator Padmé Amidala, and his upcoming arrival with the senator's orphaned newborn, Leia Amidala Skywalker.
