When an alien entity crash-landed in Hollywood, it adopted the name of Amelia Hubble and drained the energy out of many of the celebrities. Alfie remained unaffected because he only ran the local cafe. He gave the Doctor and Donna Noble information about Amelia so they could stop her. When the Doctor defeated Amelia, Alfie was relieved that the city had returned to normal. (COMIC: Nightmare on the Boulevard)
