Born as Darlene Tejeiro in Hoboken, New Jersey, she changed her name in the '90s to Darlene Dahl, because it was easier to pronounce. However today she is using her real name. Tejeiro has started her acting career on screen with the recurring role of Anita Santos Warner in the daily soap All My Children (1995-1999). Her role was later recast with actress Natalia Cigliuti. Tejeiro also played recurring roles in MTV's Undressed (2000) and the soap Days of our Lives (2003).
