The Priest conducted the traditional Hindu funeral service for Sunita Alahan in April 2013. He led the pallbearers into the crematorium and then recited the prayers, telling the small congregation that although the body was slain, the eternal and imperishable soul was not. He invited widower Dev Alahan to say a few words and then led the mourners out after the service when it was over.
