Himellas are insects featured in Metroid: Other M. They are found in frozen rooms in Sector 2 / Cryosphere. Their wings have snowflake-like structures, and they have blue bodies with red eyes. They spawn from Fly Pods that resemble white compounds. Himellas are essentially identical to Mellas that are found in Sector 3 / Pyrosphere, but unlike the flame-spitting creatures, the former are capable of firing small ice shards; they both are capable of grappling onto Samus however. The similarity in name and physiology suggest that Himellas and Mellas are possibly related.
