Sam Evans was from Connecticut (97), and never considered himself a "true native" of Collinsport. In the mid-1930s, Sam struck up a long-lasting friendship with Bill Malloy (40). According to Paul Stoddard, he and Sam were good friends before Paul left Collinsport (891).
