Pirisi (pronounced peer-EE-see) is the nursemaid and later servant of Lady Sandrilene fa Toren who died during the Smallpox Epidemic in Hatar. She is a Trader and possesses magic, which she used to hide her ten year old charge during the epidemic. After she hides Sandry she is killed outside of the concealed door by a mob. Sandry states that she was killed because she was a "hated" Trader and the people of Hatar needed someone to blame for the Smallpox. Pirisi had three children of her own, who died from the smallpox two days before she was killed.
