War games were excercises and maneuvers played out by a navy to help develop and create new tactics. In 1899 PD, HMS Hawkwing under the command of Honor Harrington performed well enough to receive a Fleet Excellence Award. In 1900 PD, another series of war games was scheduled, and HMS Fearless as well as units from the Home Fleet took part in it. (HH1)
