Gazoo was a Whateley student sometime in the past. The only fact known about him (or perhaps her) is that he did a lot to establish the Poe cottage's reputation as the residence of the "crazies," as recalled by Mrs. Horton: "And anyone who remembers Gazoo's junior and senior years is bound to still think we really are the campus loony bin."
