Fanna was the senior Weyrwoman at Ista Weyr at the end of the Eighth Pass. Her dragon was gold Mirath. Led by Lessa, Fanna traveled to the Ninth Pass with D'ram and the rest of Ista Weyr. She remained the senior Weyrwoman up until the fifteenth year of the Ninth Pass, when she succumbed to an illness; "...a wasting sickness that nothing [seemed] to halt", and that she had been "declining gradually" from.
