Practice horses can be ridden by all characters regardless of their riding skill. Despite the fact that riding a horse is usually an advantage, the small amount of space available to maneuver in an arena as well as the poor pathfinding of AI controlled riders makes horse themed tournaments a poor place for players with lower riding skill. Compounding this is the fact that the practice horse is even less maneuverable than a sumpter horse, the least maneuverable horse normally available.
