Paul Benedict Henfield is one of the targets in the Human Traffic investigation. He works as a stolen art dealer and personal assistant to an unnamed European aristocrat. It's plausible that he merely attended the auction as a representative of the aristocrat. He borrows an apartment very close to the Owl Motel to keep the briefcase safe.
