Khilese was the native language of the Khil species from Belnar. Most Khils were fluent in both Khilese and Basic. Khils produced their own languages using the strands of flesh clanging from their faces, or hullepi, drawing air around and through hullepi of different thickness or length. The result was a melodious language that other species find melodious, but none can reproduce. Communication was only but one of the different uses of the hullepi. Written form of Khilese was in no way cold and impersonal, being ornate and similar to poetry.
