Gorlog was a lesser Skandian deity (god) who had long fangs, an unkempt beard, and horns. Will recalled hearing all of these features reported on several occasions, and Halt and the Skandians has come to favor the phrase "by Gorlog's beard!" According to Halt, the Skandians don't like him very much. In the Brotherband series he is said to have a lesser-known counterpart named Orlog. Gorlog can be replaced with other Skandian gods such as Hergel or Thurak.
